Privacy

I'm working on setting up my blog page with a more professional e-mail that is more easily accessible for me - no extra log on among other things. My here, there&everywhere and the extra log on tend to make me a little slow from time to time.

My real dilemma though, is the usage of my full name. It has figured in one of the postings, but I don't want my pupils, school mates or employers to find the blog too easily. This is a quite private me, and I'm not ready in a way. I also try to shelter the people I sometimes write about a little extra that way, even if I try to be very careful when it comes to using names. Any input? What are your experiences when it comes to using your name?

A feature of comparative anonymity is its allowance of experimental voices. This might not be the same thing as an "unreadiness" as you describe it; or maybe that quality is a reservation for precisely that sort of investigative play. I see no need of haste in the question ..

Makes sense. Thank you!

I too keep myself and my blog very private Linnea. I don't have email (although I've been toying with this idea, a separate account through google) attached to it, and I really don't share it with many people...if they find me, great, if not, so be it. Also, as far as sharing it with those closest to me, it's been only very few, I feel this allows me more freedom in what I post.
Just go with your intuition...it's always the best.

Thank you! My pupils are way too interested in my private life, flattering, but also a bit annoying. At school "I keep my cards very close to my chest", as I would say in Norwegian. Although in many ways a highly enjoyable place, I feel a bit of an oddball there.

In a way, I'd like to use my name, but then I'm not sure. There is no haste, as Laurent pointed out.

When I say "at School" I mean med school.

I just like to use my first name but not the whole name although that does appear on my email which I wish it didn't but I'm not sure how to change it. In your case if people are too interested in you at school I wouldn't use your real name.
