Old Langesund Bathhotel was built around 1930 as a spa and a meeting place for society |
Situated close to the sea, naturally, back then having bathhouses for men and women |
The bath houses had towers to ensure a good view. Over to the women's bathhouses?? The bathhouses were taken by storms twice though, but the owner is considering a rebuild. |
Celebrity guests included Hamsun and Ibsen A beautiful place for a wedding A picture of Norway's beloved King Håkon the 7TH in the dining room I'm not usually into hotels, but here I fell in love A lovely, young lady gave a guided tour and found a huge, quirky looking pot of coffee she served on the veranda http://www.langesundbad.no/en |
