Oslo Graffiti 9

This little beauty was a present from a friend of my mother's in the hospital. Way too much gratitude for a little help. The patients have no one to help them doing little chores, like their shopping. I took her shopping for an hour. She had not been out for more than six weeks! We are starved when it comes to humanity. There should be a volunteer system. Or maybe families should help their elderly more? I have no answer, but not outdoors for six weeks! How is that for regaining one's health?

No, it is not good to be inside for so long! I am surprised there is no volunteer scheme.

Me too, but it is not common here.

Six weeks. Can you imagine? Being outdoors is a significant part of good health. You were wonderful to take her shopping. And what a lovely thank you gift.

Yes, six weeks is terrible. I did not want her to give me anything. What was a huge thing for her was just good exercise for me. The wheelchair is quite heavy to push when it is hilly. She has a limited pension and it should be her right to get out without "payment". It was a very cute plant though, and it will be nice to see it to remember her by.

I truly hope this beautiful posting will open a great many eyes to its subject.

Thank you. It would be worthwhile doing some work to get something done.

That is fully sad that there are some people in this world who have no one to care for them.

If one does not have a family, one needs what my in-laws call "a self chosen family" - friends that think of you as family
